I fell asleep, and sleeping dreamed a most peculiar sort of dream.
I dreamed I slept and sleeping dreamed another dreaming sleeping dream.
And in the dreaming sleeping dream, I dreamed I fell asleep and dreamed
A dream of waking from my dream, unsure that things were as they seemed
Or merely echoes of my dream.
I pinched myself and felt the pain, but still unsure, I pinched again.
But all the pinching, it did seem,
Could not divorce me from the dream as I awakened with a scream...
Into a quite nightmarish dream!!!
Was I awake? I could not tell....
Was this a dream or was it hell?
"Wake up, you fool... wake up! I screamed
And screaming, wakened into a dream.
A dream so real, I could not tell
If I slept in dream or awoke in HELL.
